PFG Precision Optics

The quality of PFG optical coatings makes the difference for spectral and environmental performance. We specialize in producing standard and custom designed thin-film coatings to our customers' stringent spectral and environmental demands.

E-Beam and Ion Beam deposition are the processes we utilize to coat in the 193nm to 5 micron wavelength range. The quality of our coatings are maximized through efficient design and material thickness monitoring.

All PFG optical coatings are routinely tested to meet stringent environmental and spectral requirements. For spectral measurements from UV to NIR, we use Lambda 9, Lambda 900, and Lambda 1050 Perkin Elmer spectrophotometers. For IR spectral measurements, we use a Perkin Elmer 983. For environmental testing, our coatings are routinely tested for:

• Adhesion
• Humidity
• Salt Spray
• Temperature
• Laser Damage
